Skin Quality

Understanding hydration, texture, elasticity and tone before selecting a skin treatment.

What does skin quality mean?

Hydration, texture, elasticity, tone and how the skin reflects light all matter, rather than simply the number of wrinkles. Dullness, dryness, fine lines and visible pores can have different causes.

I begin with the skin’s needs rather than a product name. Sometimes an injection is suitable; adjusting skincare, treating active skin disease or choosing another approach may be more appropriate.

How is a method selected?

These methods have different mechanisms, procedures and risks. Popularity does not establish suitability for every skin.

Skin condition, skincare, previous procedures, medicines, allergies and healing capacity are assessed together. We discuss expectations that a proposed method may not meet before treatment.
